Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in speech-language pathology, speech-language and hearing sciences, communication sciences and disorders, or a closely related field
- Valid licensure or eligibility for licensure as required by the state
- Previous school-based experience is beneficial but not required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with educators, administrators, and families
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, diagnose communication disorders, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, school staff, and families to implement effective interventions and support the academic and social development of students
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and required documentation in compliance with district and state standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional expertise during the evaluation and planning process
- Stay current on best practices and developments in the field of speech-language pathology
