Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current SLP license in Illinois
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
- Fluency in both English and Spanish required
- Previous experience or clinical training in K-5th grade school settings
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary staff
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for K-5 students
- Provide direct speech-language therapy, both individual and small group, targeting articulation, fluency, voice, and language skills
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and interventions
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Partner with educators and families to support students’ communication and academic success
- Adhere to school policies and state guidelines regarding special education services
