School Speech Language Pathologist - Urbana, IL
Support students and schools as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) on a contract basis. You'll play a key role in helping students achieve their communication goals through individualized and group therapy, making a real impact within the educational setting.
What you bring:
- Current Illinois SLP license, in good standing
- Previous experience working in a school-based environment is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress tracking, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt approaches to support diverse student needs
- Adherence to all district and state requirements for school-based SLPs (such as PEL, if required)
What you'll do:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students, both individually and in groups
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and support the development of educational plans
- Work closely with educators, staff, and families to provide resources and support
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation and progress reports
- Stay current on best practices and state regulations for SLPs in school settings
