In this full-time assignment, you’ll cover a medical leave through winter break and collaborate to support compensatory services afterward. The position involves managing an elementary caseload with some PreK students—all housed at a single site with approximately 40 students who present with mild to moderate needs. You'll be able to concentrate on impactful therapy and meaningful relationships, expanding your clinical expertise in a welcoming school environment. Qualifications:
- Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Skilled at managing mild to moderate caseloads, including elementary and PreK students
- Ability to collaborate with school teams and families
- Must work as W2—district does not support 1099/contractors
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students
- Document interventions and progress for compensatory services as needed
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Consult with teachers and parents to optimize student outcomes
- Ensure continuity of care as the primary SLP during the assignment
