Make an impact supporting students as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant elementary setting near Littleton, Colorado. This contract opportunity covers a temporary medical leave and extends through the winter break, with ongoing needs to assist in providing compensatory support upon the return of the current SLP. The caseload consists primarily of elementary-aged learners, with a small group of PreK students, totaling around 40 students at a single campus. Most student needs fall into the mild to moderate range, offering a dynamic mix of communication skills to develop.
What is needed for success in this role:
- Active Colorado SLP license and current ASHA CCC required
- Prior experience in a school-based setting, independently managing a caseload
- Ability to work onsite at one campus (remote and Voco services not options)
- Experience serving elementary and some PreK learners
- Comfortable with a range of mild to moderate communication needs
- Skilled in providing IEP-driven and compensatory services
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Not open to Clinical Fellows, SLPAs, or 1099 contractors per district requirements
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct speech and language services to K–5 and occasional PreK students
- Providing both regularly scheduled therapy and making up compensatory sessions as needed
- Monitoring student progress and updating documentation in accordance with district and legal requirements
- Consulting with teachers, special educators, and families to support student growth
- Attending relevant IEP meetings and supporting ongoing team collaboration
- Ensuring continuity and quality of services during the leave coverage period
