Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current Wisconsin SLP license (or eligibility to obtain before starting)
- ASHA CCC-SLP certification preferred
- Previous school-based experience working with elementary students
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Dedicated to fostering student growth and inclusion
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to elementary students in both individual and group settings
- Screen, assess, and diagnose communication disorders affecting academic performance
- Develop treatment plans targeting speech, language, and communication goals
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to support student needs
- Offer consultation and resources to educators regarding language, speech, and communication strategies
