Step into a dynamic, contract-based opportunity supporting students in a collaborative educational environment. This in-person role will allow you to make a significant impact by serving a diverse caseload throughout the 2026-2027 school year. With a focus on individualized care, you’ll work directly with 8 students—6 at the school site and 2 in a Home Hospital setting—while also providing expert consultation to 3 Special Day Classes. The position involves conducting approximately 40-50 assessments annually, ensuring that students receive the evaluation and guidance they need to thrive academically and socially.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license for the state of California (CA SLP required)
- Previous experience working in a school-based, K-12 environment
- Solid knowledge of best practices for assessment and intervention of diverse speech-language needs
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Comfortable with both direct therapy and consultative services
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to a varied student caseload
- Travel as needed between campus and Home Hospital locations
- Complete mandated assessments, maintaining accurate and timely records
- Consult with teachers and staff in Special Day Classes to integrate support plans
- Communicate effectively with families and school teams to foster student development
