Step into a dynamic, contract opportunity serving elementary schools with a meaningful impact on K-5th grade and preschool populations, including students with Autism. This full-time, 12-week assignment begins September 2026 and offers an engaging schedule of 35+ hours per week. As part of this important role, you’ll support learners at two elementary schools within a thriving district near Edison, NJ. Flexibility to travel between two nearby campuses is highly valued.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- New Jersey SLP License and Valid NJ SLS Certification (required)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred
- Clinical Fellows considered (must secure external supervision; in-school supervision not available)
- Experience in a school setting, especially with Autism and preschool populations, is ideal
- Ability to work onsite only; SLPAs not accepted for this role
Daily Responsibilities:
- Deliver diagnostic and therapeutic speech-language services to K-5 and preschool students, with a focus on those with Autism
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs
- Document student progress, maintain compliance with state/federal regulations, and update records
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment and use evidence-based interventions
- Adapt to working at two nearby school locations as needed to best support students
