Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Valid licensure to practice as an SLP in New Jersey
- Previous school-based experience strongly preferred
- Solid knowledge of IEP procedures and compliance
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and other specialists
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs in a school-based population
- Develop, implement, and regularly update individual therapy plans and goals
- Monitor student progress and document outcomes effectively
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, providing professional input and tailored recommendations
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to maximize student achievement
- Provide direct therapy services as well as consultation and training for staff
- Maintain timely and accurate records in compliance with district and state regulations
