Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university
- Valid SLP license for New Jersey
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of IEP development and associated documentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as an engaged member of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for students across various grade levels
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to address academic and social communication challenges
- Write and maintain progress notes, evaluation reports, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Deliver direct therapy and monitor student progress toward established goals
- Advocate for best practice and support a positive learning environment for all students
