Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active New Jersey Speech Language Specialist certification (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working in K-12 school settings strongly preferred
- Strong ability to conduct speech, language, and communication assessments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, educators, and parents
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs is highly valued
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, individually or in small groups
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and re-evaluations as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and other professionals to support student learning
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans
- Maintain detailed and accurate session notes and documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Offer guidance, resources, and strategies to staff and families to support students’ communication goals
