A full-time or part-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the full school year at a school located in East Millinocket, ME. This contract role involves providing speech and language evaluations, attending meetings, and delivering services to approximately 20 students. The role includes opportunities to implement and pitch VOCO technology to enhance therapy outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certified Speech Language Pathologist with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) or CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) certification
  • Previous experience working in school settings preferred
  • Strong skills in speech and language evaluations and individualized therapy planning
  • Ability to manage caseloads effectively while collaborating with educators and families
  • Experience with speech therapy tools and technologies, with the ability to introduce new resources like VOCO

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on assessment data
  • Provide direct therapy services tailored to each student’s needs
  • Participate in team meetings, including multidisciplinary team discussions and parent conferences
  • Monitor student progress and adjust services accordingly
  • Utilize and promote speech therapy technologies such as VOCO to support student communication development
