Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Maine SLP license (or eligibility for state licensure)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous school-based experience or strong clinical practicum/internship background
- Ability to create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Willingness to work with diverse student populations and collaborate closely with educational staff and families
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Provide therapy to students with a range of speech and language disorders
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines
- Participate in team meetings, student support discussions, and IEP development
- Offer guidance and education to families and staff
- Track student progress and adjust interventions as needed
