Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license in Maine, or eligibility to obtain before start date
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFs considered
- School-based experience preferred, but not required
- Proficiency with a range of assessment tools, intervention techniques, and instructional strategies
- Strong communication, organizational, and team collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to a diverse caseload of students with communication disorders
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to create and implement effective communication strategies in the classroom
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school district and state guidelines
- Serve as an advocate for students’ speech and language needs throughout the academic year
- Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices
