Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Waterboro, Maine
Make a meaningful difference in the lives of elementary students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. You’ll deliver high-impact services to students requiring support in speech and language, including AAC devices and compensatory services, throughout the school year.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license
- SLP license in Maine required
- Experience with pediatric and school-based populations
- Familiarity with AAC devices is a plus
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and therapy for elementary-age students with diverse speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and other school professionals
- Document progress, maintain records, and complete necessary paperwork
- Offer guidance and education to families and staff regarding AAC device utilization and speech-language interventions
Work Details:
- Flexible contract work (4-10 hours per week, 1-2 days a week)
- Start as soon as possible and continue through the end of the school year
- Focus on a caseload primarily serving elementary students and those requiring AAC and compensatory services
