Speech Pathology - Dubach, LA
Step into a vital role supporting students’ communication needs in a dynamic school environment. This contract opportunity is designed for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) who thrives on variety, collaboration, and positively impacting young learners. Spanning the school year from early August through late May, this position offers approximately 30 hours each week, servicing both preschoolers (at a location to be determined) and students at a local high school. Candidates should be comfortable traveling between school sites.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active and valid Louisiana SLP license (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Reliable transportation for travel between client sites
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in preschool and high school settings
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Maintain thorough records of student progress and treatment plans
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs and educational goals
- Travel between designated locations as assigned within the workweek
