Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Des Plaines, IL
Make a meaningful impact on young learners by providing speech-language services in an early childhood setting. This contract position focuses on supporting children at an Early Childhood Center in Mount Prospect, IL, helping them develop essential communication and language skills. Qualifications Needed:
- Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Current Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience with pediatric or school-based populations preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in early childhood students
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and track measurable progress
- Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with school district and state requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to best support each student
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing program development
- Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions to meet varying student needs
