This is a contract position located near Waukegan, IL, requiring a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) ready to work with a diverse student body. Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Illinois SLP license
- Professional Educator’s License (PEL) issued through ISBE for Illinois schools
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
- Experience working with pediatric, school-aged populations
- Knowledge of IEP, eligibility, and evaluation processes in school settings
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to a caseload of 35-45 students, in collaboration with 3-5 SLPs per school
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and support eligibility determination for special education services
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to development and implementation of individualized plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support RtI initiatives and deliver holistic services
- Maintain thorough documentation and ensure adherence to regulatory and ethical standards
