Speech Language Pathologist in Elgin, IL

You'll enjoy a consistent weekday schedule from 7:55 a.m. to 3:25 p.m., working with a diverse student population in a supportive, team-driven setting.
Your primary focus will be delivering impactful interventions, assessments, and therapy services to students needing speech-language support. Caseloads are tailored to your schedule, with a full-time maximum of 60 and anticipated initial assignments closer to 30 students. This provides an excellent opportunity to develop meaningful relationships and deliver individualized care while managing a balanced workload.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Recent experience in school or high-school settings preferred
- Comfortable utilizing data-driven and evidence-based approaches
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- SLPAs and Clinical Fellows (CF) unfortunately cannot be considered
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders among high school students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and district standards
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development as needed
