Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Chesapeake, VA

This contract runs through June 2027, with options for both part-time and full-time schedules (up to 36.65 hours/week, Monday through Friday, 7.33 hours/day), and may include home visits as part of the caseload.
What You’ll Bring:
- Current Virginia SLP or SLPA license (or documentation showing eligibility for August activation)
- Proven experience working in school settings, particularly with students who have behavioral disorders or complex needs
- Commitment to providing support in functional, inclusion, and individualized educational environments
- Reliable communication and teamwork, working alongside dedicated staff in a supportive atmosphere
Daily Role:
- Deliver assessment and intervention for a diverse range of student abilities, focusing on those requiring intensive communication or behavioral support
- Develop and implement IEP goals, collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families for optimal outcomes
- Contribute to a multidisciplinary team spanning several area school districts
- Participate in home visits as needed to ensure continuity of care and maximize student progress
- Maintain accurate records and detailed documentation in accordance with regulations and district guidelines
