Pediatric Bilingual School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Gurnee, Illinois

Work as part of a comprehensive team that includes social workers, psychologists, and other SLPs, all dedicated to student success.
You will manage a caseload of approximately 35-45 students, sharing responsibility with 3-5 SLPs per school and supported by a special education supervisor at each location. Your role encompasses a balance of conducting evaluations, eligibility meetings, and IEP sessions, as well as delivering direct therapy services—including providing RtI (Response to Intervention) support for children with diverse needs.
Desired Background and Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
- Current Illinois SLP license.
- PEL (Professional Educator’s License) for IL schools issued through ISBE.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Prior experience in pediatric or school-based settings is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations.
- Participate actively in eligibility determinations and IEP meetings.
- Provide individualized and group therapy to students.
- Collaborate with team members for effective intervention planning.
- Document services and progress in compliance with state and district requirements.
