Ideal candidates will possess:
- A master’s degree in speech-language pathology
- Active Illinois SLP license
- PEL (Professional Educator’s License) for IL schools, issued by ISBE
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience in pediatric or school-based settings
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable
In this role, you will:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to a caseload of approximately 35–45 students
- Conduct evaluations, eligibility meetings, and craft individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Facilitate and participate in IEP and eligibility meetings as needed
- Provide direct therapy services, including Response to Intervention (RtI) support
- Collaborate daily with a team of 3–5 SLPs per school as well as other related service professionals
- Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to school district and state requirements
