School Speech Language Pathologist - Denver, Colorado
Make a meaningful impact as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the Denver area. We're seeking passionate professionals for two contract positions providing direct support to students across elementary and secondary settings.
One opportunity is a .5 FTE (2.5 day/week) assignment available immediately through the end of the school year. This role focuses on in-person caseload coverage, with assigned sites rotating as needs shift throughout the year. You can expect to work with approximately 20-25 students and play a key role in their communication development.
The full-time position begins in January and runs through late May. This assignment—open to either SLPs or SLPAs—supports a caseload of 40-45 students at a K-8 school from January to mid-March, then transitions to another school for the remainder of the contract.
Desired Qualifications:
- Hold an active Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider License with Speech Pathologist Endorsement (SLPA credentials accepted for the January start position)
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing assignments and service needs
- Successful completion of district background check and fingerprinting
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech-language services to assigned students
- Collaborate with staff, families, and IEP teams to support student progress
- Update and maintain student documentation in accordance with district standards
- Adapt service delivery methods to meet individual student goals across multiple campuses
