School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Aurora, Colorado
Seeking passionate Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) for rewarding contract opportunities in a dynamic educational environment near Aurora, CO. Both part-time and full-time needs are available, offering meaningful experiences across multiple campuses and age groups.
Available assignments include a 2.5-day/week role, effective ASAP through May 28, 2027. In this flexible position, you'll travel to various schools providing in-person caseload coverage, working directly with 20-25 students in need of your expertise. The second assignment begins January 2027 and runs through the end of May, offering full-time hours exclusively onsite. This opening welcomes both SLPs and SLPAs. You’ll start at a K-8 campus supporting approximately 40-45 students, followed by a placement at a preparatory academy with a similarly sized caseload.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider License with Speech Pathologist Endorsement (Speech Pathologist Assistant credential accepted for select roles)
- Experience with school-aged populations preferred
- Ability to adapt and thrive in fast-paced, changing caseload environments
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organization skills
- Must complete district-required background check and fingerprinting prior to assignment
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families for comprehensive support
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation in compliance with school policies
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning atmosphere
