Two contract openings are now available—one for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, and one that can be filled by either a Speech-Language Pathologist or a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant—both offering enriching opportunities to support students’ communication development.
Key Requirements:
- Active Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider License with Speech-Language Pathologist Endorsement (SLPA licensure accepted for one position)
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Strong collaborative and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic caseload and rotating campus assignments
- Completion of district background check and fingerprinting
Role Overview:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy and related support to students across two or more campuses during the academic year
- One role (beginning immediately through late May) is a half-time, in-person position working 2.5 days per week with a caseload of approximately 20-25 students; assignment locations will change throughout the year based on needs
- The second role starts in January and is full-time, serving 40-45 students at Aurora Frontier K-8 from January to mid-March, then transitioning to Vista PEAK Preparatory for the remainder of the school year
- Deliver individualized and group therapy, participate in IEP meetings, and maintain detailed documentation as required by the district
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to promote student success
