Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Denton, MD

As part of a dedicated school-based team, you’ll work in person, providing specialized support and interventions to students primarily outside of the general education setting. The caseload consists mainly of students with other health impairments, learning disabilities, autism, and language impairments, and typically includes around 45-50 students—allowing for meaningful, targeted service delivery.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist license/certification required
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Familiarity with serving students with OHI, learning disabilities, autism, and language impairments
- Ability to manage a fluid caseload and adjust interventions as needed
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff
- Commitment to providing in-person support; remote or virtual services are not permitted for this position
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to students, primarily outside the general education classroom
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Conduct evaluations and provide progress reports for students on caseload
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive care and successful outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team decision-making
