Speech Language Pathologist in Denton, MD
Bring your expertise and passion for helping students grow and thrive to this rewarding Speech Language Pathologist contract position, serving multiple age groups during the entire 2026-2027 school year. This is an onsite opportunity working five days a week (37.5 hours), providing direct impact in a supportive school environment near Denton, MD.
As a valued SLP, you’ll deliver speech and language services primarily outside the general education setting and collaborate closely with educators and families. You’ll support a caseload of approximately 45-50 students, most of whom have diagnoses such as OHI (Other Health Impairments), learning disabilities, autism, and language impairments. Your skills will be instrumental in helping students effectively communicate and succeed academically as well as socially.
What You’ll Need:
- Valid Maryland Speech Language Pathologist license/certification
- Experience supporting school-aged children with OHI, learning disabilities, autism, and language disorders
- Ability to adapt therapy based on individual student needs across multiple grade levels
- Commitment to in-person services (no virtual work available)
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

- Conduct assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families to support student progress
- Document interventions and progress in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Provide services individually or in small groups outside the general education classroom
