School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Deland, Florida
Step into a dynamic contract opportunity where your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist will support student communication and academic growth across multiple elementary and middle school settings. This role offers the chance to engage with diverse caseloads, contribute to collaborative teams, and make a meaningful difference with both seasoned colleagues and entry-level clinicians.
As part of this supportive school environment, you’ll have the flexibility to work across two elementary schools—spending three days each week at one site and another day at the second. The remainder of your week will be spent at a vibrant middle school, where you’ll build relationships with students and staff alike. This year’s position is four days per week; next year, it expands to a full five-day schedule, providing even greater continuity for your caseload.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Florida SLP License (CFs will be considered and supervised)
- SLP-CCC or eligible with comparable credentials preferred
- Bachelor’s degree clinicians considered with willingness to work under a temporary teaching certificate (not SLPA)
- Previous experience in school settings highly desirable
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in a school-based environment
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student progress
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Support Clinical Fellows as part of a broader clinical team
This is an immediate opening, extending through June 5th, 2026, with a consistent Monday–Friday schedule averaging 37.5 hours per week.
