Speech Language Pathologist
There is a full-time contract job available for experienced Speech Language Pathologist for the new school year. Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing for this school-based role. Speech Language Pathologist, certified educational professional who specializes in diagnosing and treating communication, language, and swallowing disorders in students to support their academic and social success. The primary purpose of this role is to implement remedial programs and evidence-based interventions that allow students with language, speech, or hearing disabilities to access the curriculum and participate fully in the educational environment. Conduct speech and language screenings, and comprehensive evaluations to diagnose disorders in articulation, voice, fluency, and language processing. Create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) for eligible students. Provide direct therapy in individual or small-group settings, and indirect services such as classroom-based support. Ensure a safe, supportive learning environment, and advocate for student needs. A master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from an accredited program. State licensure to practice speech-language pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is typically required. Valid state teaching certification or specialized endorsement as required by the district. Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
