School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
A specialized school in Cranston, RI is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time contract position during the 2026–2027 school year. This onsite opportunity offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule with 35 hours per week.
The SLP will support students in grades PreK–5 with autism, complex medical needs, and a variety of communication challenges. Candidates with experience using AAC devices are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments
· Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs
· Provide direct speech and language services to students in grades PreK–5
· Support students with autism, complex medical needs, and communication challenges
· Utilize AAC devices and other communication supports when appropriate
· Collaborate with teachers, families, therapists, and school staff
· Participate in IEP meetings and assist with developing appropriate student goals
· Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and required school records
· Follow all school, state, and professional guidelines for speech-language services
Experience:
· Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
· Experience supporting students with autism or complex medical needs preferred
· Experience working with AAC devices strongly preferred
Education & Licensure:
· Active Rhode Island Speech-Language Pathologist License required
· Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
