With caseloads that may fluctuate to support current shortages, flexibility and collaboration are key aspects of this position.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current or eligible RIDE PK–12 SLP Certification required
- SLP-CCC credential and strong school-based experience preferred
- Comfortable managing dynamic caseloads, approximately 60 students, with the possibility of higher peaks depending on assignment
- Proven expertise in providing assessments, direct therapy, and implementing individualized plans
- Technical proficiency in setting up and managing AAC and assistive technology devices
- Bilingual abilities or experience with diverse, multilingual communities is a plus
- SLPAs and CFs are not eligible due to supervisory regulations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to PK–12 students and/or preschoolers
- Conduct regular student assessments and document progress in compliance with school and district policies
- Implement, monitor, and adjust AAC/assistive technology supports as needed
- Advise parents and collaborate closely with teachers to support student learning goals
- Tackle paperwork and reporting with diligence to support educational teams
