Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Cottage Grove, MN
Step into a rewarding opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) working on a contract basis for the 2026/2027 school year. This role offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week in a supportive and dynamic educational environment near Cottage Grove, MN.
Initially, you will support Justice Alan Page Elementary, covering a maternity leave until Thanksgiving break. Once the primary assignment is complete, you’ll have the chance to transition to other local schools, supporting leaves as needed or delivering essential compensatory services to students who may have missed sessions throughout the year. This flexible structure ensures you will continually engage with diverse student caseloads and make a meaningful impact within the district.
The right candidate will have:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- MN School SLP License in good standing
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience within a school setting, ideally across multiple grade levels
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Adaptability and initiative to address the evolving needs of students and staff
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing speech and language assessment, intervention, and therapy for PreK-12 students
- Developing individualized treatment plans aligned with student IEPs
- Working closely with teachers, special education staff, and families
- Documenting progress and maintaining detailed records in accordance with district and state regulations
- Flexibly adjusting to support various school sites as leaves or compensatory needs arise
