The initial assignment starts at a well-established elementary campus, covering a maternity leave with a transition after Thanksgiving to additional schools with coverage needs or assisting students in compensatory services.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota School Speech-Language Pathology License required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred
- Experience working in school settings highly valued
- Ability to adapt to a changing caseload and school environments
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to K-12 students
- Collaborate with educational teams, parents, and caregivers to support student progress
- Evaluate, assess, and document student needs and IEP goals
- Transition smoothly between school sites as required to provide seamless support
- Offer compensatory services for students who may have missed therapy due to prior uncovered leaves
- Maintain detailed records and comply with state and district requirements
