Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Cottage Grove, MN
Step into a rewarding role supporting students with communication needs for the full 2026/2027 school year in a dynamic educational environment near Cottage Grove, MN. Work 37.5 hours per week, beginning with an assignment at Justice Alan Page Elementary, initially providing coverage for a maternity leave until Thanksgiving break. As the year progresses, responsibilities will transition to supporting additional schools as needs arise—covering leaves or delivering compensatory speech services for students.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active Minnesota School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) by ASHA is highly desired
- Previous experience or comfort working within a school setting preferred
- Strong collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for diverse learners
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language services in accordance with IEPs and school policies
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluate student needs to determine eligibility
- Provide both direct and consultative SLP support as students transition between needs
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with staff and families throughout service delivery
- Cover short-term and long-term leaves in various school buildings as assigned
- Provide compensatory speech services to students as needed
