Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active New York SLP license or eligibility
- Open to Clinical Fellows (CFY) and those holding CCC-SLP
- Passion for working with elementary-aged children in an educational environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Commitment to working on-site throughout the assignment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to elementary students
- Conduct assessments, evaluations, and maintain documentation per school and state guidelines
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing insight and recommendations for student goals
- Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive therapy environment
- Support students in developing communication, articulation, and language skills
- Remain current with best practices and school-based procedures
