School Speech Language Pathologist - Bath, New York
Make an immediate impact supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a contract role with full-time hours. This on-site opening offers a consistent weekly schedule from 7:45am to 3:15pm, Monday through Friday, totaling 37.5 hours each week. The assignment will continue until the district hires a permanent SLP, allowing you to provide continuity and essential speech-language services to young learners.
Your expertise will be valued whether you are completing your Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or already hold your Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about early intervention, works well within a school environment, and is dedicated to supporting the communication needs of children in an elementary setting.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility)
- Acceptance of both CFY and CCC candidates
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students and staff
- Experience or interest in elementary school populations
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and implement treatment for a range of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and deliver individualized plans for therapy in collaboration with educators and families
- Document student progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Work effectively at a single school site
