This contract-to-hire position offers a consistent schedule aligned with school hours from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, totaling 32.5 hours per week. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Current state license to practice as an SLP
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, particularly in a school-based setting
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with teachers, staff, and families
- Familiarity with CSE processes and IEP development is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy to students at the elementary level
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting students’ unique needs
- Participate in CSE meetings and coordinate services with special education teams
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and adjust interventions as necessary
- Provide consultation and collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff
- Help students develop effective communication strategies for both educational and social success
