Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Valid and active state license for SLP practice
- Prior school-based experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of IEP process and best practices in educational settings
- Supervisory experience or a strong interest in mentoring/supporting an SLPA
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language needs
- Provide direct therapy services to a diverse student population in accordance with IEP goals
- Oversee and guide the daily duties of an SLPA, ensuring quality services and professional growth
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliant records and progress notes
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school professionals to promote student success
- Stay current with developments in SLP practices and school-based service delivery
