Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP for schools in Virginia
- Previous experience providing speech and language services in a school setting preferred
- Experience supervising or mentoring other clinicians, such as SLPAs, is highly valued
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy individually or in small groups to students within the school environment
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Assess students’ speech, language, and communication needs using evidence-based evaluation tools
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Provide supervision, support, and guidance to an assigned Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and legal requirements
