Speech Language Pathologist in Clifton Park, NY
An exciting opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist to work in a supportive school environment near Clifton Park and Albany, NY. This contract role begins in May and focuses on providing targeted speech and language services to a non-verbal caseload. You'll collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans and therapy strategies for students.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered
- Previous school-based SLP experience is an advantage
- Strong knowledge in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices preferred
- Comfortable working onsite with non-verbal students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Design and execute individualized intervention plans
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student success
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communication with families
- Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings and IEP development
- Provide direct therapy services onsite
