Qualifications and Required Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility)
- Previous experience in a school-based environment preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose communication disorders in students, including speech, language, voice, and fluency issues
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student needs
- Provide direct therapy services to students both individually and in groups
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, interventions, and progress
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support overall student success
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Stay up to date with current best practices and professional standards within speech pathology
