This contract position focuses on providing direct speech therapy services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and those in severe/profound settings. Full-time availability is preferred (up to 37.5 hours per week), but part-time candidates will also be considered. An immediate start is available, continuing through the end of the school year and into the 2025–2026 term.
Key qualifications:
- Active Georgia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
- Active Georgia Educator Certificate
- Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply
- Previous experience in school-based settings, ideally with ASD or severe/profound classroom caseloads
- Commitment to onsite work; remote/virtual options are not available
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to accurately document, participate in IEP meetings, and manage Medicaid billing
- Candidates must be able to verify or obtain the necessary licensure and certifications before their start date
Core responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech therapy to K–5 students within ASD and severe/profound classrooms
- Collaborate closely with classroom staff and participate in IEP meetings
- Ensure ongoing progress monitoring and timely, thorough Medicaid documentation
- Maintain open communication with staff and families as needed
