Qualifications and Requirements:
- Current and valid PEL (Professional Educator License) required
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience providing speech services in a school setting, preferably at the high school level
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, progress monitoring, and best practices for adolescent communication disorders
- Excellent collaboration, documentation, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy to high school students
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Facilitate and participate in IEP meetings, working closely with families and teachers
- Maintain timely and accurate student records in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Provide strategies, resources, and ongoing support within the school environment
- Advocate for students by promoting inclusivity and communication access throughout the school day
