Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in La Mesa, CA

Support students in their communication and language development by filling one of two open full-time speech-language pathologist positions. Work with a diverse pediatric population in a dynamic school-based setting where your bilingual fluency in Spanish and English will help serve the community. This contract opportunity offers the flexibility to work onsite or via teletherapy, allowing you to tailor your practice to your strengths while collaborating with a team of dedicated professionals. Compensation ranges from $50 to $60 per hour.
The ideal candidate demonstrates a passion for working with children, a strong foundation in school-based therapy, and the ability to provide services in both Spanish and English. Recent graduates completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) as well as experienced SLPs holding their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) are welcome.
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state licensure or eligibility
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English required
- Strong background in pediatric therapy and familiarity with the school environment
- Experience with teletherapy platforms is a plus
- Knowledge of healthcare and educational protocols within a school setting
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide direct intervention and consultative services to students aged preschool through high school
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to foster student progress
- Document evaluations, interventions, and ongoing progress consistent with IEP and state guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute expertise to support student learning
