Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Chicago, IL
Make a real difference in the lives of students across a dynamic school network servicing Chicago through North Chicago. This full-time, in-person school-based Speech-Language Pathologist position is seeking a talented and passionate professional to support PreK-8 learners. The assignment runs from July 2026 through June 2027, providing exceptional care to students in a supportive environment that values cultural and linguistic diversity.
Your expertise will be especially valuable if you have bilingual abilities (Spanish preferred), though this is not required. You’ll work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the success and growth of students with varying communication needs across multiple locations, primarily L6 and L10 campuses.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license for Illinois and current ASHA CCCs
- School experience preferred
- Bilingual Spanish skills a plus
- Ability to adapt to various K-8 settings and collaborate with educators and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans for students PreK-8
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy in both individual and group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
- Complete required documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Travel between assigned campus locations as needed
