Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Chicago Heights, IL

This full-time contract role is a rewarding opportunity for skilled clinicians with a passion for pediatrics and education to support young learners’ communication needs. You’ll serve two distinct caseloads: Shabonna Elementary (grades K-3, approximately 49 students) and Liberty Intermediate/Bourbonnais Upper Grade Center (grades 4–8, approximately 53 students).
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP license in Illinois (or eligibility)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFY candidates encouraged to apply
- Experience in educational and/or healthcare settings working with pediatric populations
- Proficiency with assessments, IEP documentation, and collaboration in a school environment
- Experience with teletherapy is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapy services to elementary and middle school students in person and via teletherapy as needed
- Complete assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor student progress
- Contribute to IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Manage compliance with state, federal, and district guidelines for special education services
- Support students in developing communication, language, and social skills essential for academic success
