Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state license (or eligibility for licensure) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; clinical fellows considered
- Previous experience in educational settings is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work with students, staff, and families
- Ability to organize and manage caseload documentation efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, or communication disorders
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide direct therapeutic interventions both one-on-one and in groups
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
- Consult regularly with teachers, parents, and support personnel to maximize student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational strategies
- Offer ongoing education and support for faculty and families regarding communication strategies
