Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Active and current Virginia SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; strong support and supervision provided for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates
- Experience with school-based caseloads or a passion for pediatric speech-language pathology
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms as well as traditional, in-person service delivery
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students' speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with educational staff and families
- Provide direct therapy sessions (in-person and/or virtual) tailored to student needs
- Monitor progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and other specialists to maximize student outcomes
- Maintain detailed case records and comply with relevant federal, state, and district requirements
