School Speech and Language Pathologist | West Columbia, South Carolina
Step into a meaningful school-based contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist, supporting young learners from kindergarten through 8th grade. This role, starting in early August 2026 and running through late May 2027, offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule of 37.5 hours each week. You'll have the rewarding responsibility of serving a diverse caseload of approximately 45 students across 2 to 3 school sites.
Key Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid South Carolina SLP license
- Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Ability to manage a school-based caseload independently and collaboratively
- Strong communication skills for engaging with students, staff, and families
- Comfortable adapting to different school environments
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for K-8 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students’ needs
- Provide both individual and group therapy sessions as defined by IEPs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student learning
- Document progress and maintain all necessary records in compliance with regulatory standards
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide input on student progress and goals
- Travel between assigned school locations as needed to ensure comprehensive student support
