Blazer Jobs is seeking a motivated new graduate Speech-Language Pathologist to begin a Clinical Fellowship in Houston, Texas. We understand that the transition from graduate school to independent practice can feel like a major step. That’s why this opportunity includes dedicated CF supervision, mentorship, and professional support designed to help you successfully complete your fellowship while gaining valuable school-based experience.
About the Position
The Clinical Fellow will provide speech and language services to students while developing clinical independence under qualified supervision. You’ll work alongside educators and related service professionals while gaining practical experience with evaluations, therapy, IEPs, documentation, and student-centered intervention.
Job Duties
- Provide direct speech and language services to students
- Conduct screenings and evaluations under appropriate supervision
- Develop individualized treatment strategies
- Monitor student progress and maintain clinical documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers
- Implement evidence-based speech and language interventions
- Track required CF hours and professional activities
- Participate in scheduled CF supervision and mentoring
- Maintain compliance with applicable state, district, and federal requirements
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Completion of required academic coursework and supervised clinical practicum
- Eligibility to begin an ASHA Clinical Fellowship
- Eligibility for the appropriate Texas SLP Intern/temporary or school-based credential required for CF practice
- Ability to complete required Texas licensing and school-district onboarding requirements
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Successful completion of required background screening
