SLP Clinical Fellow | Durham, North Carolina
Experience the energy of downtown Durham in this full-time, onsite role supporting middle and high school students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This contract opportunity welcomes both Clinical Fellows (CFs) and those holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- North Carolina SLP licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- ASHA certification (CCC) preferred, but CF candidates are enthusiastically encouraged to apply
- Previous experience with school-age children, especially in a middle or high school setting, is strongly valued
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to student-centered, culturally responsive practice
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students in accordance with their IEP goals
- Assess and determine students’ communication needs and create targeted intervention plans
- Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation for all services provided
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and the development of educational plans
- Engage in professional development and ongoing learning relevant to the needs of diverse student populations
