Qualifications & Experience

  • Current, active Speech-Language Pathology license for Maryland
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Preferred: Experience serving in Maryland schools
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Comfort and enthusiasm working with a K-12 caseload, including students with moderate to severe needs in self-contained high school settings
  • Willingness to travel between multiple school sites as part of an itinerant role

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy to meet a variety of student needs
  • Assess communication skills and design interventions that support academic and social success
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement instructional strategies
  • Maintain precise documentation and progress reports to guide student support
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary discussions to ensure comprehensive care
