Speech Language Pathologist in Centreville, MD
An exciting opportunity awaits for a Speech Language Pathologist to make a meaningful impact throughout the 2026-2027 school year. This contract position requires an energetic professional with expertise in supporting students of various ages and abilities. In this role, you will provide essential services to a dynamic caseload of approximately 45-50 students, encompassing a range of needs — primarily Other Health Impairments (OHI), Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Language Impairment.
This position is ideal for those who thrive in an in-person environment and are committed to individualized student growth outside the general education classroom.
Qualifications:
- Active and valid Maryland Speech Language Pathologist license and certification
- Previous school-based experience supporting diverse student populations is highly valued
- Strong understanding of IEPs, evaluation processes, and a student-centered approach
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, and support staff
- Commitment to providing in-person services; no remote or virtual support
Responsibilities:
- Deliver dedicated speech and language therapy to students across multiple age groups and grade levels
- Evaluate, diagnose, and craft individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP objectives
- Complete timely documentation, progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support academic achievement and social communication
- Adapt therapy strategies to meet changing caseload needs throughout the school year
This role is structured for a full-time, 5-days per week schedule (37.5 hours weekly), running from the start to the end of the 2026-2027 school year.
