Make a meaningful impact by supporting students’ communication growth while covering maternity leaves for school-based Speech-Language Pathologists. Two rewarding contract opportunities are available, surrounded by the scenic beauty of Colorado, serving elementary and preschool populations. You’ll work in a collaborative environment alongside a highly experienced SLP, ensuring continuity of quality care for students with a range of speech, language, and communication needs.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience in school settings serving children with articulation, expressive/receptive language, fluency, social-pragmatic challenges, and high-tech AAC
- Comfort working with students with mild to severe needs across grade levels
- For the preschool assignment, in-person availability is required; the elementary role prefers in-person but may consider hybrid
- Passion for early intervention and fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct and consultative SLP services to students in either kindergarten–fifth grade or preschool (ages 3–5)
- Assess, plan, and implement interventions focused on speech, language, and communication goals
- Collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and other school professionals
- Maintain clear and timely documentation of services and student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decisions
- Utilize tools and technologies, including high-tech AAC systems
- Attend staff development and professional workdays as scheduled
Both part-time (January 4–March 19, 2027) and full-time (February 15–May 27, 2027) contract assignments are available, offering you the chance to continue building your skillset while making a difference during critical periods in students’ educational journeys.
